Welcome

Within this audio portfolio you will find a collection of audio work that I have produced as a 4th year radio student. My first project of the year will be my participatory production in partnership with Upstart. During this, I will focus on a short audio documentary. I will then write the script for a drama play and create an audio book from a children's story. Read, listen, criticize and enjoy my portfolio for 2011.

Participatory Production

UPSTART

I will be working in partnership with Upstart, a newspaper created by students from schools around Grahamstown for the youth.  I will recruit some of these students to work on a few radio shows along with my partner Refilwe Mpshe, and we aim to create popular and exciting shows which can be maintained and sustained after we have finished our course.

JMS 2 TUTORING

Throughout the first semester I will be tutoring a group of second year radio students. During this time I will be assisting them in the creation of a magazine show called 'mabaleng', which focuses on how successful sports societies at Rhodes University are with community engagement. This page will contain highlights of the work produced by the students under my leadership and guidance.
